I've done a lot of research on the Internet because I wanted to build my own website. The problem is that there's a LOT of information on the net & you can easily be overwhelmed. I am. Or I should say I was until I came upon this site called SiteSell. They have videos to explain what their services are, why they are different from other web building or hosting services and they even give you a free ebook that you can download & read if you were inclined to build your own website from scratch.
I did download the book first becuase I considered myself a do-it-yourselver and the ebook did contain great information but like anything else, there was a lot of preplanning involved. Research that I had to do and Time that I had to find in order to do the research. I was beginning to have that overwhelmed feeling again but I wasn't sure I was able to afford the services of SiteSell either (but I never bothered to find out the exact pricing... I just assumed and you all know where that got me). So I procrastinated. Sound familar? Great idea, no time to implement it.
Until I read another article that mentioned the services of SiteSell. This time I took a few extra minute to look into their services. I guess my skeptical side was trying to find the gotchas because it sound too good to be true. I even read that the services offered is ideal for the "Do It Yourselfer" crowd - that's me! The information was broken down into easy to understand steps to creating your own effective website that gets organic traffic (meaning I didn't have to pay for my site to be ranked). If you're a person who wants to know as much information as possible, GREAT NEWS - there's SBI! eLearning . There are even case studies that showed me from beginning to end what others accomplished using SiteSell.
The bottom line is this. I don't have the time to research the necessary details of building an effective and traffic driven website. SiteSell does all the prework and makes it easy for me to do what I know best - that's sharing my love for event planning!

If I could advise Obama - what I would say...
So I don't really follow politics and I'm not a super intellectual. That being said - if I could advise President Obama this is what I would say to him: tell the American people that we must have courage to face the hard times ahead that we created. That the time for bailouts is no longer and that any type of stimulus would only prolong our hardship. I would tell him there will be casualties from this financial fallout. That we must look into ourselves to create opportunities for financial stability. We cannot look into the past to tell us how to behave or react to our situation. Our future and the future of our children depends on our ability to absorb the economy's shortcomings. Each of us must be a leader and make the necessary sacrifice. I personally ask each & everyone of us to look into our lives and see where we can cut the fat. I ask that corporations to look into keeping employees instead of cutting jobs just because profits are lowered than last year. I would advise that heads of corporations and those highly paid (anyone over $300K) be called upon to make a financial sacrafice in their living style and acknowledge them for the hardship they would endure when they make that sacrifice.

Welcome to my very first blog!
To those women out there who are managing it all - let me acknowledge you for all the things you for do for others - that are seen and even things you do for others that are not seen. You know what I'm talking about - it's those little acts of kindness and thoughtfulness just because of who you are.
Being a phenomenal woman is being someone who wants it all - having a great satisfying relationship with your significant other, having a kick-butt career, raising awesome kids, pets, etc. and most importantly thinkinkg of yourself as the GODDESS you really are!
Yep - I said it (or wrote it here) - you are a GODDESS no matter what you look like, no matter what clothing size you are (FYI - I'm much slimmer & sexier in my mind's eye), how much or little money you have in your account, how old or young you are...it's all PERFECT and now is the time to own your Goddessness. So go ahead, take a few minutes - grab your favorite beverage, pop a squat and cheers to you!
I want to share my little treasure chest of insights with you - all the things I've learned and seen as well as questions I have or things I want to learn more about. It's a journey we can take together. You can check in often because I'll be writing about my outrageous plethra of friends and what antics they get themselves into. (I might have to change some names to protect the not so innocent) it's all great! I hope you can laugh & cry & get a nugget of gold in a world of Being a Phenomenal Woman! - M
